Let's follow step one: click the "Add..." button on the top-left corner. A dialog box will prompt up to let you select the files you want to convert. Locate your video files and click OK.

Next, we'll select a preset from "Profile" below. Click the context menu, select "Common Video", then "WMV - Windows Media Video" ---- this is just for instance; if you'd like to convert WMVs for your other multimedia players like Zune or Xbox, just choose from their corresponding presets. Then we’ll check the “Apply to All” box by the box, as we expect all output files be in WMV format.

If conversion is all you need, just skip the steps 2 and 3, and click “Start”. The converter will start processing the video file, as is shown below.

Now we follow the 3rd step. Click “Settings” button by the profile menu on the bottom. Here you can adjust the encoding methods, bitrate values and audio formats. If you have experience at producing videos, you'll be familiar with all the parameters listed.

After configuring and tweaking, click “Start” and let the converter do the rest.
